At least Jimmy Carter can go into the great beyond knowing he was not, after all, the worst president of the United States thanks to Joe.

At this time of the year you see people with ash marks on their foreheads. Many more people always wear crosses for various reasons. I manage to ignore all of it. I get the motivation, while I may not agree with the resoning.

Once Roman polititions learned how dedicated people were to their religious superstitions, they began transforming themselves into priests; no need to reinvent the wheel.

It's time to end stupid daylight savings time. We have outlived any possible benefit derived from having to manually change our clocks twice a year. I even refuse to change my bedroom clock because I know when it is in the stupid range.

I found that "My Pillows" tended to creep out of their cases during the night. I found that My Pillows 2.0, just as comfortable as 1.0, tended to creep out of their cases even faster

I have had "My Pillows" for years. I like them but they seem to crawl out of their pillow cases during the night. I recently got 2 new "My Pillows 2.0". They are just as comfortable as MP 1.0, but they crawl out of their pillow cases much faster.

I am grateful for every day of my life. I realize human life is limited. We each have an expiration date. When mine comes, I don't expect to wake up on any other side. My guess is, I will be just as dead as I was before I was born, but the world will be different because I was.

Before 9/11, airline passengers were treated like valued customers. After 9/11 passengers were transformed into suspects. As one who flew alot, that day ruined my flying experience. I retired early mainly to avoid air travel.

Let me relate a conversation between my boss and I from 1973. I was going to ask for a raise. I said, "I went to work here for $1/hr to wash dishes. I have since become, pizza maker, sandwich meat slicer, crab cooker (in season), seafood breader. He increased my pay ti $1.35/hr.

As a life-long atheist it baffles me to see people moved to kill/torture other people because they believe in a superstition other than the one they do.

You know, having people in this world who believe in supernatural beings should not be a problem for anyone else but them. Unfortunately, many of them subject those around them to the idiocy of their religions. Please keep your superstitions to yourself and I'll try not to laugh.
