PLHIV Leadership Summit by NEPHAK & GNP+ + is on! Today, leaders are brainstorming bold global strategies to ensure a PLHIV-led response even in the face of U.S. funding cuts. And guess what? Young people are in the room and at the table, shaping the conversation.

Fam! The past three days have been full of bold, necessary conversations from global funding cuts to the future of #HIV programming in a changing world. And yes, young people were in the room not just to listen, but to lead, challenge, and co-create the future we deserve.

Fam! We're attending the AYP Constituency Feedback Meeting organized by KCM. During the meeting, we presented our report on the impact of the USAID funding freeze on young people in Kenya. We shed light on disrupted services and the urgent need for sustainable funding.

We join other stakeholders in warmly welcoming the new Ministry of Health leadership Hon. Fam! We joined fellow community actors to reflect on the future of CLM amidst funding shifts. As young people, we made it clear that our communities can’t afford to lose CLM. We called for innovative, youth-led approaches that ensure monitoring doesn’t stop when the money does.

Empowering the AYP on AHD! We joined NEPHAK& GNP+ in a sensitization forum on Advanced HIV Disease (AHD), focused on adolescents and young people! We had conversations, shared vital info, and built awareness to help AYP understand how to prevent and manage AHD.

📍Dandora 2 – Raising Awareness on AHD! Today, we continued our mission of empowering (AYP) through another impactful AHD sensitization forum in Dandora 2. Through the partnership with NEPHAK & GNP+ , we are breaking the silence around Advanced HIV Disease(AHD)

📍 Riruta Health Center – Spreading Awareness, Strengthening Youth Voices! We held yet another powerful AHD sensitization forum this time at Riruta Health Center, reaching more adolescents and young people (AYP) with vital information on Advanced HIV Disease (AHD).

We also need strong advocacy skills to meaningfully engage with PRs and CCMs, and to defend essential services. Communities must be able to interpret data, recognize service coverage trends such as viral load testing and use this evidence to make compelling, fact-based arguments.

📍 Baba Dogo & Pumwani – Young people Leading the Way! We held AHD sensitization forums in Baba Dogo and Pumwani, reaching more AYP with vital knowledge on AHD. Thanks to our partnership with NEPHAK and GNP+, we’re empowering AYP to take charge of their health.

Fam! We participated in the stakeholder meeting on the contextualization of SEAH IEC materials. We reviewed and contributed to the finalization of contextualized IEC tools. Together, we are strengthening approaches to prevent Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment.
