I'm pleased to report that Council has voted to pause the MZO request until further negotiations are held with the developer and an agreement is in place that provides benefits and protections to our community. I am starting the process this morning. Thanks for your support.

I have reached out to Min Steve Clark to clarify the current Council's position and ask that the Minister rescind the MZO at this time. We expect the provincial government to honour the wishes of the people of Collingwood as expressed in the recent election.

Intuitive and effective Slow/Shared Street infrastructure is not difficult. The Presidio is installing these pinchpoints — which decrease speeding and discourage cut-through traffic — and a traffic diverter(!). SFMTA’s Slow Streets should have this infrastructure…and then some.

Happy International Women’s Day! I am so proud to work alongside these fantastic women. Let’s celebrate all of the women in our lives and their many achievements, while we continue to focus on building a gender-equal world. #InternationalWomensDay

Speed limits don’t determine how fast people drive. Street design does. If we want cars to move slower and safer, we need to design streets that encourage slower driving with features like narrow lanes, tight corners, raised crosswalks, wide sidewalks, and street trees.
