The largest rocket ever is about to launch into space (a test, fair enough), but anyway, in the newspapers, you read hardly anything about it. Where is the excitement for space, science, and engineering? #scicomm #StarshipLaunch #SpaceX

Last week our paper reporting from our large-scale experiment in northern #Greenland came out. In a combined field and model study we explore how #groundwater above #permafrost in affected by #infrastructure or #erosion. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Together with University of Copenhagen Sust. Science Center Katherine Richardson, CONCITO had the pleasure to host an excellent Climate Talk on effective climate communication with George Marshall. You can watch the event here: #dkpol #dkgreen Ghita Borring concito.dk/nyheder/klimaf…

Fourth year PhD student Has to complete a seemingly impossible task with very little help. Always has a pained look on his face. Sighs a lot.

It is now five years ago that I went to #Greenland for the last time. Feels strange and good being here again. Looking forward to an exciting time of teaching #Geology to young #Arctic engineers.

So are the first few days in #Greenland already gone. Gave my first lecture for DTU in #geology for the students in Arctic Civil Engineering in #sisimiut.

I've been in the #Arctic for the first time in 2004, I've been working in #Greenland since 2015, and now finally in 2023 I've seen Aurora Borealis. What a sight! In all colors and right above our heads!

#Geology is all about how we describe how our #Earth was formed and how it continues to evolve. In order to understand the complexity we must observe it first hand in #nature. So it was great to take the students on #fieldwork and look at rocks, sediments, and #permafrost.

It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. Such a little thing. #phdlife #Science #lotr

Have I just used 15 min to figure out if I can use Emojis for indicating to my students what modules I will be teaching at #DIS #Copenhagen? Yes, yes, I totally have! 😄 And I expect my students to appreciate it! 🤓 #Canvas #studyabroad #climate #teaching
