7 weeks ago Maximus arrived to us in agony. He had been living on a short chain and was totally neglected and sick. It’s hard to believe what he is like today. He was also getting some very good news… (1/7) 🧵

His biggest issues were his skin and weight. We’ve been able to fix those. His ears were also so infected after being cut off we thought he could be deaf but he isn’t (2/7)

I had to test Maximus this morning out and about. He has now put back on 25lbs and is a picture of health. (3/7)

The good news is he has fantastic recall. He doesn’t want to go more than 20 yards from humans. I think he was scared I was going to leave him today on our run (4/7)

This was Maximus when we got back. Totally exhausted. He has one of the best sploots in the business (5/7)

We are testing him in lots of situations like being in a car also today. The reason being… a couple are coming to see him next week with a view to giving him a forever home. They are experienced dog owners and fell in love with Maxi. It could be his big break (6/7)
