The visionary and leading mind behind ZTF Survey Prof. Shri Kulkarni was awarded the The Shaw Prize at the official ceremony in Hong Kong yesterday along with the other three recipients. The Shaw Prize honors Shri's unique contributions to the advancement of transient astronomy

"We can find as many as half a million changes in the sky every night" Who is Shri Kulkarni, the Caltech professor who envisioned, built and now manages ZTF Survey? Watch a short film produced for the The Shaw Prize of which he was recipient this year. news.tvb.com/tc/programme/t…

Our ZTF Survey supernova survey, currently the largest in the world passed the 10,000 classified supernovae milestone. This rich dataset has completely transformed transient astronomy in the last half a decade. ztf.caltech.edu/new/ztf-hits-1…

#ScienceNews ✨ | 3628 new Type Ia Supernovae detected by the Zwicky Transient Facility survey (ZTF Survey). This observation reveals a new effect that could change the way cosmologists measure the expansion history of the Universe. in2p3.cnrs.fr/en/cnrsinfo/zw…

A fantastic milestone for the cosmology group in ZTF Survey led by CNRS Nucléaire & Particules with the release of the 2nd curated sample of 3628 Type Ia supernovae for high-precision cosmology. The release is accompanied by A&A journal special issue in2p3.cnrs.fr/en/cnrsinfo/zw…

Our ZTF Survey summer school continues in 25 & 26! Applications are now open for this year's edition (July 21-25) at the University of Minnesota. The focus is on analysis of time-domain data from multiple surveys in the NSF-DOE Rubin Observatory era. Apply at ztf.caltech.edu/summer-school-…

The next issue of our ZTF Survey newsletter Cosmic Newsflash is out. Find out when our public data releases are scheduled, read our science highlights, watch the science vlog, and more. The spotlight this time is on our near-Earth asteroid hunters sites.astro.caltech.edu/ztf-newsletter…

We are extending our ZTF Survey summer school application deadline until June 1st. Both in-person and virtual options are available. Apply now at ztf.caltech.edu/summer-school-…

Our ZTF Survey colleague Yuhan Yao, a Caltech PhD, now a Miller fellow at UC Berkeley led this exciting study, which revealed a black hole that is tagging along with another massive black hole in a galaxy.

It turns out that teenage white dwarfs are equally complex, but their adolescent phase for them is much shorter than for us, humans:) Great work by our ZTF Survey @caltech Tony Rodriguez.
