Day 149/365 #photoaday I’ve been wearing glasses since primary school, when I couldn’t read the top line of the eye test. These new ones might just be the comfiest I’ve ever had. And after nearly 50 years of spectacles, that’s saying something.

Day 153/365 #photoaday Today’s flowers.

Day 154/365 #photoaday Spent most of the day working in the cellar—no window, just a few glass bricks for light. Some days are harder to photograph than others. This view, from the top floor of the Glasgow School of Art the other day, stayed with me. I needed it today.

Day 155/365 #photoaday After some early evening gardening—digging, weeding, mowing—Rigby heads back out to make sure his dog den is still intact.

Day 156/365 #photoaday When I first saw this plant at the garden centre a few years ago, it had just a few bright red blooms and I loved it. This year, it’s the fullest I’ve ever seen it, bursting with colour. Still no idea what it is. Still love it.

Day 160/365 #photoaday I took this late on Saturday after an eventful return to Leeds with Pip’s broken van—which ended in a ride home in a big red truck. I waited to post it until she’d seen it. Consent’s a big part of my photography practice. She said yes—so here it is.

Day 161/365 #photoaday Came across a broken mirror on our walk today. Rigby didn’t seem bothered—I’m following his lead.

Day 162/365 #photoaday This is Rigby’s 129th stick for his Instagram. He was determined to catch this one—despite it being a bit of a handful.

Day 163/365 #photoaday Today wasn’t the best, so I escaped on a virtual bike ride through a made-up world. I can’t run right now, but cycling gives me just enough of that endorphin boost to lift the mood. Shame about the avatar hair, though.
