Yesterday likely kicked off day one of our first heat wave of 2025! The next 2-3 days will be incredibly hot, and dangerous.

By the way.... all this talk of heat and humidity but we didn't escape the weekend dry. Our wet weather weekend stretch continues on.

Today is hot and humid, but tomorrow comes with more dangerous heat indices soaring well into the 100s across the mid-Atlantic up through the northeast. Here locally, heat indices 100-110 possible.

It's very rare we see 100 on our daypart forecast, let alone in June! Actually, it's never happened in June in Providence before. Today would be record-breaking.

Today we have a much better opportunity to smash the daily record high and even potentially set a record of the first 100 degree day ever recorded in the month of June for Rhode Island!

Plenty of mid and upper 90s, but Providence has never hit 100°F in the month of June. That could change today.
