FUND GPs Wes Streeting this isn’t working “We didn't have any continuity of care. We would never see patients again. I would sit down on my day off & look into what happened to a patient after I made a referral. I wasn’t building any relationships with patients.” said the ARRS GP

Tony Blair & business leaders miss the point Healthcare is personal, reactive, relies on nuance, often the unsaid things, a look down, a ‘hmm’, a tear, leading a Nurse or Doctor to a diagnosis beyond the presenting symptoms Healthcare is not a product, it’s an art, with artists

THIS👇🏼from Dr Steve Taylor & Dr Rachel Clarke 👏🏼👌🏼🙏🏼 #TonyBlair clearly has zero understanding (or interest) in the art & immense skill involved in practicing medicine. & protected by access to private healthcare, the chances of him/his family seeing AI drs & nurses are low. 1/2

It seems The Times and The Sunday Times has changed its headline from the false ‘We’ll bring NHS to standstill’ changed to ‘We can cause ‘terrible disruption’’ Sadly the damage was done & a lot of respect was lost Not everyone reads beyond the headlines & reads the story Truth & facts matter always

No GP wants this, name another NHS service providing 20% more with 20% less funding, that gets as much flack & as little support This is the problem 1/9 people waiting for hospital treatment 500k more people long term sick 2300 patients per GP - 500 more than 2016 20% less £

A service consulting half the population every month Doing this for £14 per month per person Imagine what GP practices could do if they were adequately funded rather than having a 20% cut £/patient over the past 10yrs

Leaks from ⁦The Leng review⁩ suggest PAs to revert to Assistants Let’s see what the review finds on training, scope and supervision theguardian.com/society/2025/j…

This is a very important step in improving safety It might seem trivial to change the name but the change from Physician Assistant to Physician Associate was driven by an idea of equivalence to a Doctor This has created confusion for patients & in a few cases serious harm

🗞️ | We welcome reports in The Guardian that physician associates are to be renamed. But this is just a start and the fundamental issues of scope and supervision still need to be addressed. Read our response from helen fernandes and Dr Ellen Welch ⬇️ dauk.org/report-physici…
