Another great #volunteer session at #MontaguTriangle dune heath today. Cleared two piles of birch saplings in no time at all and a good old litter pick too! We took the volunteers on a small tour of the site to discuss our plans for this rare habitat. (Before & after)

Get involved in the local beach clean!

Another productive #volunteer session at the #TriangleDuneHeath yesterday. We finished up with 4 huge piles of pulled birch saplings then took a walk through the site as we’re working to establish a new butterfly transect here which will also incorporate #FreshfieldDuneHeath!

Our volunteer, Katie, did our first butterfly survey for this season at The Triangle and Freshfield Dune Heath! A late start but will be raring to go next year! We’re eager to see how the hard work we’ve been putting in to restore the dune heath will benefit the wildlife 🦋🐝🌸

We chose the best day for another birch pulling session today and we even did a butterfly survey in the middle - very productive! 🦋☀️ Thank you to our volunteers who clambered through thickets of gorse to get the job done 🙏 As a bonus, we found 4-5 different shield bugs!
