“We love our grandchildren, but we love ourselves more” given our inaction on climate. We should be fighting for every tenth of a degree (limiting temperature rise) Sec. Ernest Moniz Council on Foreign Relations Climate Realism project launch #creationcare #lovingtheleast

Energy demand is surging driven by AI tech, spurring clean energy development more than climate activism alone (though dirty energy use will also grow). Both Trump 45 and Biden pursued “all of the above” energy development (despite contrasting rhetoric). Council on Foreign Relations

Philanthropists should stop funding "climate awareness" projects, it's not helping - Rachel Pritzker, Pritzker Innovation Fund. It's too hard to build new energy projects. The big need is technical innovation to make clean energy cheaper - the market will do the rest(?) Council on Foreign Relations

The most important variables driving climate mitigation are not "climate" policies but interest rates, innovation and stable investment environments. -David G. Victor, UC San Diego Council on Foreign Relations Climate Realism The US is (or was) strong on all 3 though alas not so much at the moment.

All policies involve trade-offs. Trade policies are designed for free & democratic societies. When you have a bad actor (authoritarian) the system doesn't work as well for citizens in the free countries. Maureen Hinman, Silverado Policy Accelerator

The US spends the most on health care but ranks near the bottom of OECD countries in our doctor:patient ratio leading to long waits - Lawson Monsell Niskanen Center panel on addressing the US doctor shortage (esp. family and rural docs)

Enjoying a multicultural celebration of World Refugee Day sponsored by World Relief BaltimoreWR. Inspiring to see vibrant refugee families and loving volunteers come together in friendship and solidarity. We are blessed by our newest American friends & neighbors.

Kudos to Rep. María Elvira Salazar @ Rep. Veronica Escobar for a great launch today on the reintroduction of the #DignityAct. “Like Lincoln ending slavery, like Reagan defeating communism, President Trump can pivot to fix our broken legal immigration.” But he needs Congress to act.

Thought provoking podcast! Sheds light on a sobering topic without catastrophizing. Max Mullen Tegmark | AI at the Crossroads: Wisdom, Power and Moral Courage - National Association of Evangelicals | National Association of Evangelicals nae.org/max-tegmark-et…

Congress was right in its original decision to approve life-saving humanitarian aid that they wrongly clawed back this week. But they at least preserved the #PEPFAR program. Many thanks to Sen. Susan Collins. Trump, senators did the right thing agreeing to spare HIV/AIDS funding

Good article by Carmen Paun on evangelical support for intl aid. Mark Moore, CEO of MANA Nutrition makes enriched peanut butter bars that help malnourished children recover in six weeks. It's a pro-life win/win good for Georgia farmers and dying kids. bit.ly/4nalN6b
