PHOTOS: These photos were taken at the scene of last night’s crash at SR-29 & SR-82 where five people were injured, one of those fatally. The crash occurred when the mini-van shown failed to slow down and rear ended a slower moving truck hauling tomatoes.

Our C-Shift crews are working a two vehicle accident with one injury. An SUV flipped after coming in contact with an SUV hauling a boat on a trailer. SR-29 will remain down to one lane until the scene is clear & FHP is through with their investigation. Please use caution.

Our B-Shift crews are working a fully-involved vehicle fire on Church Rd, 1+ mile north of SR-82 in Hendry County. No injuries reported.

FIRE ALERT: Our A-Shift crews are working a fire in an apartment at 1368 Ironwood Ln. A dryer caught fire, but sprinklers inside the apartment helped to put it out. We are assisting the residents by removing water from the apartment.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Camp Keais Rd is shutdown in both directions north of Pope John Paul II Blvd, after a two vehicle head-on crash. All three total patients have serious injuries, all meeting Trauma Alert criteria. FHP Southwest Florida is enroute to investigate. Avoid Camp Keais Rd.

Yesterday at 5:35 PM our A-Shift crews responded to a fatal two vehicle head-on crash with two entrapped. The driver of the Chevy did not survive her injuries. Both patients in the Hyundai were considered “Trauma Alerts” and were transported by helicopter to Lee Memorial.
