This week, I joined fellow female legislators for our annual Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators meeting. I look forward to continuing to work alongside this impressive group of leaders to uplift opportunities for women across the Commonwealth.

During this week's office hours at the Cohasset Council on Aging, I met with Library Friend Sandra Perry and patron Agnes McCann who advocate for library funding in the state budget. I will continue to support our local libraries which give so much to our communities.

I had the pleasure of meeting with advocates from Head Start as part of their annual advocacy day in the State House. I will continue to support Head Start which provides children across the Commonwealth with resources and educational opportunities to grow and thrive.

Each year, Hull hosts a polar plunge on Nantasket Beach to raise money for the MA Special Olympics. This past Saturday, I enjoyed seeing local families at this long-standing event and welcoming folks from far and wide.

This past week, I joined my legislative colleagues for the Annual South Shore Health Legislative Breakfast. Allen Smith, MD, MS, President and CEO at South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth highlighted the specialized care and crucial services provided by the community hospital.

Fishing Partnership provides critical training programs, support services, and resources so fisherman have the skills to fish safely and return home safe and sound. It was great to see the training in Scituate this week. Thank you for the work you do to keep our communities safe.

This past week, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators (MCWL). The longest-running bipartisan and bicameral women’s caucus in the nation, the MCWL now has 60 members, and represents over 30% of the MA legislature.

I had the pleasure of attending the WATER Coalition Advocacy Day. I spoke about the importance of my drought management bill (H.1003) and the need to take action now to protect our watersheds from unpredictable and unprecedented drought.

This week, the Joint Committee on Advanced Information Technology, the Internet and Cybersecurity (AITIC) held our first hearing of the legislative session. I also serve on the Higher Education, Election Laws, and Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure committees

Last week, I enjoyed attending Save the Harbor 's annual Destination Boston Harbor Gala with my colleagues. We celebrated the important work Save the Harbor does to restore and protect Boston Harbor, Massachusetts Bay, and our marine environment for the enjoyment of all.
