This is welcome and long overdue. The Liberal Democrats have been calling for Ofwat to be abolished and replaced with a new independent regulator with teeth for some time.

⚠️⛈️ There are weather warnings in place with heavy rain forecast across parts of our areas over the next couple of days. 📞 Ensure you’re prepared to drive safely when out on the roads, and that you know who to call if you’re impacted by flooding 👉 bit.ly/HIWFRSFlooding

I raised the issues with Southern Water’s performance and Ofwat at PMQs in April so pleased the Government is finally taking some action.

David Lammy must realise that we’re past the point of threatening sanctions. Every day the Government sits on its hands, more innocent civilians are being killed in Gaza while over a million are at risk of starvation. Sanctions are needed now, including against Netanyahu.

Mass starvation in Gaza and over 1,000 Palestinians killed while seeking aid since May. The government says the situation is intolerable yet they continue to tolerate it. The UK needs to stop all arms exports to the Israeli Government - today.

Every race puts a greyhound’s life at risk. Between 2017 - 2024 over 4,000 greyhounds died, and 35,000 injuries were recorded. This isn’t "sport". It’s cruelty. Speak up for greyhounds. Write to your MP and help #EndGreyhoundRacing for good. 👉 bit.ly/43VPY7S

The Prime Minister must act with immediate airdrops of much-needed aid into Gaza and get other countries to do the same. It is simply inhumane that Gaza faces starvation due to Israel’s aid blockade. Words alone won’t save lives.

The UK should be leading on this, not falling behind. Recognise the independent state of Palestine now and take the lead on securing a two-state solution and a lasting peace.

I have joined with over 200 MPs urging the Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary to recognise Palestine as a state now. The UK should be taking the lead on securing a two-state solution and a lasting peace.

A few constituents have contacted me about the decision to remove the CCTV Cameras in Eastleigh town centre. I’m in contact with the local police and council and hopeful that a solution can be found. Meanwhile I’m continuing to call for a new police station for Eastleigh.
