The wild mustard plant, thrives where there is low moisture by outcompeting other species. Individual plants can separate from the ground and become tumbleweeds. These plants can travel long distances, bouncing over the ground and then get caught in our trellises. #vineyard

After the vines are pruned, our tying crews then step in to tie young and old vines alike. We used sisal twine for all our tying endeavors this year. Tying is done by hand every year, and it’s important for training new vines and maintaining vine structure into vine maturity.

Our tree planting mission is complete! We’ve planted, staked, and mulched 190 oak trees throughout the property. Over the next few years, these tree will develop their root system provide them with a foundation to grow. #vineyard #oaktree #treeplanting #progress #growing #kubota
