NHL Board meets today. With ongoing speculation around Atlanta, expect a general report on who has approached the NHL and from where. Atlanta isn’t the only one. Nothing more than an update at this point.

Looks like we’ll have our answer by December. The price is set - time to ante up and do hockey in Atlanta right!

December is the most likely timeline under the current trajectory. Next BoG meeting should be October-ish. CBA is near completion, and by my guess, will be completed by then. Next meeting after that will be December where the league can possibly vote on expansion.

If the league had any doubts about a group’s ability to pay up, they would’ve been shut down by now.

BREAKING: The NHL and NHLPA ratified the new four-year CBA that's set to take effect in the 2026-27 season. This was viewed as the last major hurdle before expansion on the league side. Expect more expansion news before the end of this year.
