After Hurricane Helene tore through our community, I stood alongside local officials and emergency personnel to make one thing clear: government should never stand in the way of recovery. That’s why I sponsored Senate Bill 180. Recovery is a responsibility.

As we gather with friends and family this weekend let us reflect on the cost of our liberty and our commitment to honor those who gave everything to protect it. We must always remember that American freedom is not free.

Florida’s parks aren’t for profit, they’re for the people. I proudly supported legislation to stop development in our state parks and preserve places like Weedon Island for future generations. Thank you to Governor DeSantis for recently signing this bill into law!
