It bothers me that when people’s testimony about weird experiences gets rejected, that continuous and institutionalised rejection *in itself* sends them a bit bonkers, so they're less likely to write cogently about their experiences. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t right.

I’ve just read an article in a broadsheet newspaper about a member of the clergy who is being impugned largely for undertaking standard Safer Recruitment actions. It is so defamatory that I will not share it, but I hope General Synod members will take note. #safeguarding

I know it’s not possible to follow/care about every issue, but with so many clergy (rightly) voicing their concern for the unborn today, I personally hope this extends to the state of maternity services, in the wake of inquiries investigating hundreds of deaths.

And as the world keeps going to war, may the Church do again what Melchizedek did: step onto the battlefield, uninvited and unafraid. With bread, and wine, and blessing, and the quiet, defiant hope that this is how peace begins. #corpuschristi #joy
