Lancashire Violence Reduction Network today I attended Trauma Informed Lancashire conference “Developing compassionate Lancashire Communities, a journey towards the trauma informed approach.  Plenty of ideas linked to my work supporting young people and to my Artist practice exploring ACEs & stigma

It was a huge pleasure to be asked to contribute to the Global Law Enforcement and Public Health Association (GLEPHA), Trauma Informed Policing Special Interest Group. I’m also looking forward to meeting Pete in person soon when he comes to visit the UK. Supt. J Srivastava

Focusing on the root causes is key, but having laws and consequences in place is also important. We all need to work together - communities and partners - to create real change. We need a balance to make sure there's accountability and progress.

Busy day filming with Channel 5 News today to discuss the law change around owning zombie knives & machetes. The VRN will work alongside this important law change to continue tackling the root causes of violence, because any blade can devastate lives, families and communities.
