Tonight between 6pm and 9pm we will stay open for Art After Hours! On display in our Stone Distillery Gallery are new works by Korean Quebecois artist, Jou Lee. In our Cooperage Space, we are featuring works from many of our established Canadian artists including Heidi Taillefer.

This beautiful sculpture, Le Scrutateur, by Yann Normand is a stunning example of the artist's mastery of form and scale. Made of welded steel and 24K gold leaf; Normand is humbly inspired by the balance between natural forces, silence, spiritual ideals and industrial elements.

The luminous sculptures of Gilles Payette are the outcome of a lifelong interest in natural materials and the way in which each new atmosphere can manipulate how we see them. This gorgeous cast glass sculpture by Gilles Payette plays off the brick walls of our Cooperage Space.

Here you find a beautiful diptych by Mélanie Arcand along with the dynamic works on aluminum by Marie-Josée Roy. Although these skilled artists use different mediums and have contrasting styles, these equally impressive works compliment each other in our Cooperage Space.

Spring has finally arrived in Toronto and there is no better way to celebrate than with the beautiful florals of Danielle Lanteigne. A self proclaimed "colourist" Danielle creates each work with physical vigour, her subjects rendered vibrantly by striking colour contrasts.

Jou Lee’s work offers a shared moment of introspection, like a still pool reflecting both her own narrative and the viewer's inner world. Her canvases are dreamscapes where the tangible and the ethereal intertwine. Familiar forms and imagined objects coexist with poetic fragments

This vibrant work by Jean-Pierre Lafrance titled, En amour avec le facteur, is part of a new series called Curiosity. In this series the bird is a bearer of good news. Just as a letter from a friend sparks excitement, the sight of a bird in nature awakens a sense of wonder.

Horizon D'espoire by Jean-Pierre Lafrance is part of a series of vibrant, abstract paintings inviting the viewer into a world of hidden discoveries. Within each composition, a bird takes form, its shape emerging from the interplay of color and texture, always paired with a letter

Jean-Pierre Lafrance's L'attente is part of his current exhibition, Curiosity. This celebrated artist has gained international recognition for his bold, gestural style, and continues to innovate with each new body of work.

The experience of finding the bird within the painting mirrors the delight of spotting an unknown bird on a morning walk-moments of serendipity that deepen our connection to the world. I hope to inspire that same sense of surprise, curiosity, and a message of peace to the viewer.

In honour of Father's Day, we wanted to feature these three abstracted hearts by Jean Gaudreau. Created with fragments from the original 1893 copper roof of the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, each work is a reflection of the love Jean Gaudreau has for the city.

These three remarkable works by Urban Pop Artist, Bao, look completely at home hanging on the old copper weigh scale in our Stone Distillery Gallery. Painted on street signs, Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo and Curt Cobain live side by side like old friends. Scroll to see more detail.

"It is not always about you" one of the gallery's latest arrivals by Mélanie Arcand, and is on display in our Cooperage Space. This beautiful and impressive painting showcases the artist's intricate universe, inspired by the complexities that surround her.

SPOTLIGHT ON FRANCE JODOIN, is on display July 4th - August 3rd and features her latest works reflecting the beauty and diversity in the artist’s impressionistic technique and subject matter including landscapes, cityscapes, birds, and female characters, born from imagination.

The landscape listens, shadows hold their breath, is one of the stunning of the impressionistic landscapes on display for our SPOTLIGHT ON FRANCE JODOIN. “My paintings are a collage of many pieces of information, and they never represent something, someone or somewhere specific."

We were so happy to have the very talented, France Jodoin, visit us at the gallery this week. Currently we have a SPOTLIGHT on her beautiful impressionistic paintings in both our gallery spaces through August 3rd. Visit us Wednesday - Sunday 11am - 5pm.
