It was a great pleasure for HE Philip Malone and DHC Ms Emma Macri to have attended the ICT Expo 2025 Opening Ceremony, last Friday. A brilliant event hosted by Tonga Women in ICT - TWICT, highlighting their theme for this year "Empowering a Resilient Digital Tonga".


A nature-positive future for the UK, AsiaΒ and the Pacific π€ππ Β Through our partnership with Asian Development Bank, we are advancing investments to conserve biodiversity, restore ecosystems and build climate resilience.



Earlier this week, π¬π§ DHC joined π¦πΊπ³πΏπΊπΈπ¨π³π―π΅ dignitaries and women from across Tonga to launch the Langa Fakalakalaka 'a Fafine Tonga Programme. An occasion set to celebrate the empowerment of women, promotion of gender equality and the preservation of the πΉπ΄ Cultural Heritage.


Yesterday, we joined Tonga Red Cross to celebrate World Red Cross Day. Philip Malone commended their dedication and spoke on the importance of our global unity for humanity. In his words, "Together, we prove that humanity transcends politics and borders." #OnTheSideOfHumanityπΉπ΄π¬π§



Earlier this week, HE Philip Malone launched the first of 3 community nurseries under the Climate and WASH Resilience Community Project implemented by Live and Learn πΉπ΄ The project is co-funded by π¬π§ and πͺπΊwith the aim to promote the empowerment of women in the agriculture sector.






Last week, HE Philip Malone attended the opening sessions of the SPC and Food and Agriculture Organization-led Pacific Week for Agriculture and Forestry Heads and Ministers from 27-29 May. HE delivered a statement in the country session on π¬π§βs Forest Governance, Markets and Climate programme in the πΈπ§ and π΅π¬.
