Earlier this week, HE Philip Malone launched the first of 3 community nurseries under the Climate and WASH Resilience Community Project implemented by Live and Learn 🇹🇴 The project is co-funded by 🇬🇧 and 🇪🇺with the aim to promote the empowerment of women in the agriculture sector.

Last week, HE Philip Malone attended the opening sessions of the SPC and Food and Agriculture Organization-led Pacific Week for Agriculture and Forestry Heads and Ministers from 27-29 May. HE delivered a statement in the country session on 🇬🇧’s Forest Governance, Markets and Climate programme in the 🇸🇧 and 🇵🇬.

Today 163 years ago, His Late Majesty King Tupou I declared the abolition of serfdom as part of the 1862 Code of Laws, granting 🇹🇴s their freedom and constitutional rights. This marks a significant turning point in Tonga’s history representing their courage, resilience and unity!
