Happy Heavenly Birthday to James Marshall Seed born on this day of 1895. Seed joined us in 1920 and was one of our most inspirational players of the decade. Our 1921 FA Cup winner scored 77 goals in 255 appearances for the club before leaving for Sheffield Wednesday in 1927.

Remembering Les Bennett who passed on this day in 1999. It came just a day after the death of Alf Ramsey Bennetts former teammate who played 159 together for the club. He was cremated at East Ham Crematorium.

James Banks joined our club in 1914 and was an instrumental part of our midfield as we lifted the FA Cup in 1921. He made 77 first team appearances scoring 10 goals with us. He died OTD in 1942 aged just 49 and was cremated at Streatham Park Cemetery. No memorial is known.
