My peer colleagues can't understand the high degree of irony when I say I'm trying to work myself out of a job. I teach patients the same stuff I learned in grad school so they get well and stay out of my clinic. Treatment in perpetuity is profitable, but unethical.

Take advice on this platform in matters of politics with little seriousness. Trust your instincts. Don't overreact. It's really simple. You don't need to read a tome about what is happening or what not to do.

These are the same people who just sneered at you when you needed to leave your home during the pandemic. "Uhhh just work from home" as if every job can be worked from a laptop. The laptop class snobbery continues.

In my own self-referential appeal to my own authority, I disagree. There are large swaths of the population being told that normal life experiences are pathological and need professional psychotherapy and/or medication. You know who's still stigmatized though? Gun owners.
