15% of the students at the school my Dena'ina friend works at are Alaska Native. There weren’t any books by Indigenous authors in the book fair they just had. She wore her NDN Girls Book Club sweatshirt and started a dialogue with the librarian & head teacher-- badass(✿◠‿◠)
