The three new Latin script characters that N̓a̓ṇ́ga̓inúx̌v (Robyn) Humchitt and I proposed for the Haíɫzaqvḷa (Heiltsuk) language have now been formally published in Version 16.0 of the Unicode Standard, and are now available for reliable digital text interchange! 🥳🎉🎉

This is a big win for the Heiltsuk community as it enables full representation and access to their writing system on all digital devices. We look forward to extending the impact of this success through our continued partnership between Heiltsuk Revitalization and Typotheque
